Updates

It's been awhile since we've last posted to the blog, and once again we come with a promise to post much more frequently. We did end up playing SXSW, two shows in one day, both of which were a success and great fun. Also, Summer Us now has a cover and album design, as the album is just near completion. We are also working on new material for what is now going ot be not just an EP but a new album. We hope to be able to release it very soon after Summer Us since this one is taking us so long. And one last thing: we are going to be playing this years Free Press Sumemr Fest here in Houston with the likes of Weezer, Big Boi, Ween, and a fine list of our fellow Houston bands. Look for the link on the side of the page to get passes. We are proud of our town and the Free Press for bringing out the music that's long been hiding in Houston.

Hello again.

I know it has been said that there would be more frequent posts to this blog, but we're a very busy band. i'm back however to give some quick updates. First, Summer Us is now in the mixing process yet again, hopefully for the last time. Second, we are going to be taking some time to finish writting this new EP we have planned that is to be self-recorded in the very near future. Last, we have submitted to play SXSW 2011 and are currently waiting to hear back from them. That's all for now!

New Album, Old EP, New EP and New EP

H e l l o all,
Now that this is somewhat being more looked at, we'll go ahead and start posting regularly to this here old bloggy blog blog blog. Just some news on our recordings, new and old. First, the new album which will either be titled "You Threw a Living Creature at Me" or "Summer Us", is now on it's way to being mastered. As soon as that's done, it will get pressed and be ready to go, so not too long from now. It's got ten new songs, all original of course. That being said, our first EP "Orange" is still out and about, and you can now listen and download the title track right off this here ol' website in the "Discography" section. You might also notice in that section that we have track listing up for another EP called "Jody Seabody and the Whirls Sing Songs". That's because we plan on releasing an EP of our old stuff with Carl on guitar because of the numerous requests to do so. The recordings will be very lo-fi, but the songs are all high quality, the lo-fi sound only adding to their charm. And last but not least, during all of this recording and releasing of the new album, we've been working on new material that we plan to turn into another EP as soon as we get this album released. It will consist of 4 of the most unique songs we've done as of yet. We've yet to perfect them, but soon enough, soon enough.
